Delivery Control Optimization

Delivery Control Optimization is a peer-to-peer, cloud-managed distribution method for efficiently delivering content to devices and reducing the need for more Internet bandwidth. Orchestrated by a cloud server, it is a distributed cache that uses peer-to-peer traffic on a network as an alternative source for downloading data. As a result, downloading from a number of different sources is made possible.

Typically, a particular download starts from the host device, which will open up more connections to peers in parallel over the network, distributing the data to be downloaded.  The system is able to respond to the network environment dynamically, so if one peer is lost, it will find another and adjust automatically, without interrupting the download. As well, as each small piece is delivered and is checked for data integrity. If all peers are lost, the download will continue from the host device.

By using this system of parallel operation and optimization, downloads are extremely fast and much more reliable.
